The purpose of this blog is to provide people with a platform to learn about local offerings and to give authors a convenient place to showcase their work. I can’t help but get excited and inspired at some of the work. Our local authors are brilliant!

Some (like The Death and Life of Monterey Bay), make me want to discuss with others and continue the work of saving our environment. This success story-saving the ocean and its inhabitants-happened right here!

Most of the information on local books listed on this blog are pieced together from public sites such as Amazon.

UPDATE: After posting several blogs, I found that some authors have agreements with promoters so that no one else is allowed to write about their works, while others allow it but have to approve it.  I will be contacting as many as I can (where contact information is available),  to ask how they want to be listed and to find out about any events they are participating in to promote their book(s).

As I finish reading books, I’ll update the blog with reviews.
